Luster began as a simple idea—a vision to reimagine one of the most overlooked details in our homes: the light switch. What started as a classroom pitch at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh quickly grew into something much larger. That first idea not only sparked conversations, but it also went on to win competitions and accelerators, providing the momentum and resources to turn a concept into reality.

 

From there, we knew this wasn’t just a project—it was the foundation of a company. Along the way, we partnered with multiple engineering teams, blending creativity with technical expertise to refine every detail of our product. Each collaboration pushed us closer to our goal: designing a switch that doesn’t just function, but elevates the entire space around it.
